On World Mental Health Day, counselors of PHWC conducted workshops on ‘Sleep and Stress’ for employees of HSBC. In stressful corporate jobs lack of sleep can be often overlooked which in the long run starts hindering people at work.
According to scientist, Matthew Walker, “Humans are not sleeping the way nature intended. The number of sleep bouts, the duration of sleep, and when sleep occurs has all been comprehensively distorted by modernity.”
Getting at least 8 hours of sleep is crucial for our mind and body to fully recuperate. Additionally managing stress is just as important in order to get restful sleep.
In their interactive workshop the counselors gave the employees helpful tips on how to recognize stress and sleep deficiency, address the issues and resolve to have a healthy physical and mental state.
